Book Review: The Lake House by Kate Morton

Kate Morton is my favorite author, and this book is what solidified my admiration of her.

This is the second book of Morton's I’ve read and I LOVED it! It's such a great mystery with just the right amount of subplots that actually supported the main plot. I was guessing so many theories the whole book, and although I did figure out two of the major reveals I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus, there were plenty of other reveals and twists that surprised me. Morton also just has a beautiful writing style; there were two pages towards the end of the book that made me cry because it was some of the most moving, brilliant, perfect writing I’ve ever read. I also love that even though it’s a third person, you do get several people’s perspectives in a way throughout the book.
