100/5 amazing book!!
The story itself is so beautiful and intriguing; Kya’s story is by far the best coming-of-age tale I’ve ever read.
The imagery that Delia Owens creates is so detailed and beautiful that you can clearly picture it all in your head and at times even feel, hear, and smell what she’s describing. I cried, I let out several “awws” and gasps, and felt totally immersed in this expertly woven story.
The murder mystery in the book had me stressed for characters and kept me on the edge of my beach chair (as this was a summer read for me). I was also moved by many of the relationships in the book. It truly was an experience.
Do yourself a favor and read this book!
